Historical notice
Ce château a été édifié au 15e siècle pour la famille de Boucard, puis agrandi après 1619 pour Claude de Faucon. Au 15e siècle, il consistait en un corps de bâtiment flanqué de deux tours demi-circulaires aux angles et se prolongeant en équerre jusqu'à un donjon carré placé à l'extrémité de la courtine ouest. L'entrée se faisait par cette courtine. Tous les bâtiments sont en briques. Au 17e siècle, le corps de bâtiment sud fut aménagé en logements avec façades dans le goût de l'époque, et deux pavillons furent construits au nord, celui du nord-ouest étant relié à la tour sud-est par une galerie. Certaines parties ont été restructurées au 19e siècle.
