Historical notice

Commanderie de Templiers édifiée du milieu du 12e siècle à 1312 ; devient commanderie de Malte de 1313 au quatrième quart du 18e siècle ; actuellement devenue château. Le logis a été reconstruit et fortifié en 1469 pour Jean de Bridiers, commandeur ; le fossé, le pont-levis et les dépendances ont été détruits à la fin du 18e siècle ; restauration importante au milieu du 19e siècle. Le moulin a été édifié vers 1766 ; un bâtiment a été accolé au 20e siècle au mur sud de l'église. La chapelle a été édifiée vers 1160 ; elle a été décorée de peintures murales au début du 16e siècle : Christ en Majesté entouré des symboles des évangélistes, légende d'un saint, …
