Historical notice
Le château primitif fut construit autour des années 1150, puis reconstruit au 15e siècle. Entouré autrefois de douves, qui subsistent en partie à l'est, précédé au nord par une vaste cour entourée de communs, le château est constitué par un bâtiment principal qui se développe entre deux grosses tours cylindriques, couronnées d'un chemin de ronde avec créneaux et mâchicoulis. Du côté sud, deux ailes en retour d'équerre s'ajoutent au bâtiment principal, aboutissant chacune à une tour polygonale. Percements et toitures ont été refaits au 17e siècle.
