Historical notice
L'église fut bâtie au 12e siècle, et reconstruite presque entièrement vers 1635 par Philippe Sallier, seigneur de Chênaie. De l'édifice du 12e subsistent le mur sud de la nef, une tour carrée couronnée par une flèche à pans légèrement brisés. La nef est couverte en charpente avec lambris. Le collatéral au nord est relié à la nef par trois arcades en tiers point. Des amorces d'ogives prouvent le projet inexécuté de voûter la nef et le bas-côté. La nef aboutit à un choeur de deux travées barlongues, voûtées d'ogives à moulures prismatiques. L'abside a cinq pans.
