Historical notice

Cette grange-étable présente un type particulier de charpente, dénommée charpente pyramidale, essentiellement présent au nord-est du Cher et aux confins du Loiret. Une dizaine de grange-étable de ce type a été répertoriée autour de Beaulieu-sur-Loire. Ces charpentes pyramidales reposent sur des poteaux assemblés deux à deux en portiques et se caractérisent par leur important volume de toiture, leurs murs en pans de bois et leur porche en retrait. Leur distribution intérieure en vaisseaux parallèles regroupe diverses fonctions agricoles.
