Historical notice
Il s'agit de l'un des quatre ou cinq sites fortifiés gaulois les plus représentatifs de la Touraine. L'occupation gauloise et gallo-romaine de l'éperon est attestée. Le site est protégé, côté plateau, par un talus doublé d'un fossé extérieur. Des fouilles ont permis de le dater de la fin de la Tène III.
