Historical notice
L'église est bâtie à l'emplacement d'un édifice religieux mentionné par Grégoire de Tours. Reconstruit sous Charlemagne au 11e ou 12e siècle par un chapitre de chanoines. L'église fut en partie démolie au cours des guerres de Religion. La tour surmonte la croisée du transept. Les arcades communiquent avec des croisillons démolis. Dans la sacristie convertie en cave, trois travées voûtées d'ogives présentent des clés sculptées de saints personnages. Les nervures reposent sur des colonnettes aux chapiteaux formés de guirlandes.
