Cette porte provient de la collégiale Saint-Ursin, détruite, située place Saint-Ursin (actuelle place Michelet). Elle a été remontée vers 1810 à cet emplacement, à l'initiative du préfet du Cher, Horace de Barral. Elle donne accès, rue du 95e-de-Ligne, au jardin de la préfecture. Elle porte une signature au tympan Girardus fecit istas portas.
