Historical notice
Edifice en grande partie d'époque romane. Chapiteaux ornés de figures fantastiques. D'après la tradition, l'église aurait été reconstruite au 12e siècle après les destructions dues aux guerres entre Philippe Auguste et les Anglais. Les voûtes sont ornées d'écussons royaux et de figures couronnées, qui pourraient indiquer une reconstruction par le roi, demeuré seigneur suzerain de Montrichard après la conquête. Les chapelles sont gothiques et seraient dues à Louis XI.
