Historical notice
Cette fontaine, reconstruite, a primitivement été établie par l'intendant général Jacques de Beaune-Semblançay, dont les armoiries sont encore sculptées dans un bas-relief en pierre. L'ouvrage de forme pyramidale, surmonté d'un motif en pierre, recoît l'eau d'une source dont l'origine est dans le rocher qui supporte le donjon. La fontaine s'adosse à un mur sur la partie droite duquel se trouve un bas-relief représentant l'écusson. La pyramide de pierre recouvre le bassin qui reçoit l'eau.
