Historical notice
Cette fontaine est celle des moines bénédictins de l'ancienne abbaye de Saint-Laumer. Adossée au mur de l'hôpital (ancienne abbaye de Saint-Laumer) , cette fontaine en pierre dure comprend une base, un tableau uni et une corniche. Deux bouches en bronze (tête humaine et tête de poisson) laissent couler l'eau. Trois marches descendent au bassin. Les eaux viennent du rocher par un canal aboutissant à une sorte de petit lac situé sous la rue des Degrés Saint-Nicolas.
