Historical notice

La maison s'élève à l'angle de deux rues. Construite en pans de bois, les deux façades ont été recouvertes d'ardoises par la suite. Les dispositions du rez-de-chaussée ont été transformées, de même que la toiture. D'après la tradition, sur la façade ouest se trouvait un puits avec une large margelle sur laquelle Jeanne d'Arc se serait appuyée pour descendre de cheval à son arrivée dans la ville. La margelle fut retirée vers 1862 pour être installée dans une ferme des environs, et le puits transformé pour y installer une pompe.
