Historical notice
Le prieuré dépendait de l'abbaye bénédictine de Saint-Savin-sur-Gartempe. Mentionné pour la première fois en 1226. Le domaine, comprenant l'église, le logis prieural, des granges et étables, des bois et un moulin, fut vendu comme bien national en 1791. Les constructions furent affectées à un usage agricole, hormis l'église qui continua d'être fréquentée pour les dévotions à Saint-Marin. Du prieuré subsistent aujourd'hui l'église et le logis. Eglise de plan cruciforme, à nef à vaisseau unique se prolongeant par un transept saillant. Une tourelle carrée renfermait peut-être l'escalier desservant les combles.
